7 Tips For Surviving Eclipse Season

7 Tips:The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

Today’s eclipse is auspicious. Here are some practices that can help you utilize this astronomical window in a sophisticated way:

1. Eat Lightly.
If possible, it is advised to eat lightly on an eclipse. Taking pressure off of your digestive system allows your glands optimally secrete and maximizes healing.

2. Stay Positive.
Eclipses are high energy windows. It is natural to feel both alive with potential and emotionally chaotic. Take time to be soft and quiet with yourself. Chant mantra as a way to soothe your soul and remove feelings of fear, sadness or low self-esteem.

3. Meditate.
It goes without saying, an eclipse day is a prime day for Kundalini yoga and meditation. You can calibrate your body to synch with the macrocosmic movements. This is sophisticated, intelligent practice. ✨Join my newsletter for a complimentary class.

4. Indoors is Best.
Despite popular practice, it is NOT advised to be outside during or to look at an eclipse. Exposing the top of your head or your eyes to the eclipse can over excite the pineal gland and crown chakra, and creating an uncomfortable imbalance.

5. Plunge in Ionic Waters.
That said, before and after the eclipse it IS advised to get in a stream of ionic water. A stream, river, lake, ocean or a cold shower will work.

6. Ritual Baths.
Though baths are not classically considered ion producing enough, I still think an epsom soak or a ritual bath by @mamamedicine sounds good.

7. Simple Hydrotherapy.
If no other hydrotherapy is available, you can sprinkle water on top of your head and chant your favorite mantra. In Vedic astrology, this mantra is given as “Vishnu Vishnu Vishnu.”

Eclipses are always major power swells, and with these tips you are now ready for the cosmic surf.
