Welcome In Eclipse Season With The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

This month's Full Moon doubles as a Lunar Eclipse and falls in the constellation of Virgo.

(Running side note: western astrology charts tomorrow's full moon in the sign of Libra, but both the eastern and western systems agree that the constellation is Virgo.)

Eclipses are always major power surges, about revelation as well as obscuration. This Full Moon just after the spring equinox will be collectively life altering and full of destiny blossoming energy. Occurring in the constellation of Virgo, it will also be particularly sensitive.

Virgo is the most refined sign of the zodiac. It has a reputation for being finicky, but this isn’t true. It is simply that for Virgo, the receptors are so calibrated that it picks up on the slightest nuance. Because of this, Virgo is also about cleanliness. One can use this Full Moon energy to clean house and get oneself, emotionally and spiritually, buttoned up.

Amplifying this eclipse is its position in the sky conjunct the fixed star Tania Borealis.

Tania Borealis is in the constellation of Ursa Major, a.k.a the Big Dipper. The Big Dipper has been an ancient navigational tool for finding Polaris, the North Star.

The lore of Polaris is instantly available in mythic collective consciousness. Readily visible to the naked eye at night, the position of Polaris lies less than 1° away from the north celestial pole. As such, it’s stable position in the sky has guided seamen and travelers by night for millennia.

With such a celestial climate, we have quite the opportunity to move our incarnations forward with nuanced intelligence. As we approach the eclipse here is the advice:

  • Become quiet, sensory and sensitive.

  • Use the Virgo energy to clean your space: emotionally, mentally, energetically and physically.

  • And allowing your new clean receptors and your internal compass to guide your way.

O ye cosmic sailor, as the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse takes effect.
